OrderOrca Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 13, 2026

1. Who we are

OrderOrca provides table-side and takeout ordering for restaurants that use Clover point of sale systems. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it across the OrderOrca apps, the merchant dashboard, and guest ordering pages (the "Service"). Restaurants using OrderOrca are independent businesses; this policy covers our processing, not theirs.

2. What we collect

From merchants: business name and contact details, Clover merchant identifiers and access tokens, menu and inventory data, employee names as they appear in Clover, device and printer identifiers, and configuration choices.

From guests: the items ordered, special requests, party size, table or order identifiers, and, for takeout, a name and contact details if provided. If a restaurant enables online payment, card details are collected and processed directly by the payment processor (Clover); we never receive or store full card numbers.

Automatically: logs, IP addresses, browser and device information, and usage data such as pages viewed and actions taken.

3. How we use information

We use information to operate the Service (routing orders, printing receipts, syncing menus), to secure it, to fix problems, to understand and improve how it works, to develop new features and products, to communicate with merchants, and to comply with law. We may create aggregated or de-identified data (for example, order volume statistics) and use it for any lawful purpose.

4. How we share information

We share information with the restaurant you order from (your order is their order), with service providers that host and support the Service (such as cloud infrastructure and the Clover platform), as required by law or to protect rights and safety, and as part of a business transaction such as a merger or asset sale. We do not sell personal information.

5. Retention

We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above, which for merchant and order records generally means as long as the merchant uses the Service and for a reasonable period afterward. We may keep aggregated or de-identified data indefinitely.

6. Where data is processed

The Service is operated from Canada and hosted on infrastructure that may store or process data in Canada, the United States, and other countries. By using the Service you consent to processing in those locations.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Merchants can disconnect their Clover account at any time, which stops our access to their Clover data. Guests should direct requests about an order to the restaurant; we will assist the restaurant as its service provider. You can also contact us directly using the address below.

8. Security and children

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes

We may update this policy at any time. The updated version takes effect when posted at this page, and the effective date above will change. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
